Standards
AeroSatellite Standards for basic DSS Installations:
- The satellite antenna will be assembled and mounted according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- If a ground mount is necessary, all cable will be buried at least six inches below ground surface.
- Where ground mounts are used, a 90 degree PVC sweep is installed at all ground penetration points.
- Drip loops are installed at all outside cable connection and building penetration points.
- Sleeving with PVC conduit that protects in-ground cable that passes under garden or flowerbed areas.
- All wire and cablewill be handled and installed within manufacturers' specifications.
- All visible cable will be routed to follow natural structural lines.
- "Bridge" type coaxial cable clips or staples will be used at approximately eighteen inch intervals.
- All structural cable penetrations will be weather sealed with UV resistant RTV silicone.
- Every aspect of the installation will be in full compliance with the National Electric Code.
- Every aspect of the installation will be in full compliance with all applicable state codes.
- Every aspect of the installation will be in full compliance with all applicable local codes.
- Up to one hundred feet of swept tested RG-6 will be supplied.
- Any underground cable used in the installation is "flooded" type RG-6 or greater.
- All "F" fittings used are designed for the application "out of the box" &
sealed with silicone grease.
- RG-6 cable is installed from the LNB to one TV, either through an exterior wall (frame or one layer of masonry) or from the customer's basement (or crawlspace).
- The satellite receiver will be interconnected to the customer's VCR (if co-located).
- The customer's selected Dish Network or DIRECTV programming will be activated.
- The satellite receiver's remote will be programmed to work with the customer's equipment (i.e. TV, VCR).
- The customer will receive at least 20 minutes of training on the use of their new satellite system.
- The completed installation will provide a signal quality and strength level of not less than the minimum system requirements.
- Aerosatellite is not responsible for signal strength. (due to climate, location, or natural circumstances)
- *A connection will be made to an existing phone jack within twenty-five feet of the installed receiver location.
(Connection to a phone line is required for DIRECTV® System activation &
reccomended for Dish Network® activation).
- All hardware necessary to mount, wire, and ground the satellite system, within the above limits,will be supplied without extra charge to the customer
* An extra charge will apply when modular jack is not available within twenty-five feet of receiver location.
* An extra charge will apply when a pole ground mount is necessary for line of sight.
All of our installers are fully certified
to at least Level 2 SBCA National Standards
set forth by Pegasus, Dish Network, DirecTV and
the Satellite Broadcasting & Communications Association
- and have been fully instructed on all of the technology therein.
